A question about : Scan 1000s of photos
Does anyone know where I can get all the family photos (color and b/w) scanned and copied? How much is it likely to cost? There could be 1000 photos to scan and I think it's gonna be expensive!
Best answers:
- If you have the negatives I'm told Asda do a pretty reasonable service if you have one of their big stores nearby.
- If it is the photo's then you would be cheaper buying a scanner and doing them yourself.
- Buy a cheap second hand digital slr camera and lens, and take photos of them. Far easier, cheaper and quicker than scanning them all as every scan will need time to be processed.
- Pay a teenager thirty quid to scan them for you?
- You can get multi-function printers which have scanners and a document feed, so you could load about 10 at a time and scan them. Still a tedious business, but more likely to be done properly than if you pay someone else to do it for you.
