A question about : Ryanair front page

Could someone who understands HTML suggest why I can never fill in the boxes or click the dates on the Ryanair front page ?

The secondary book flights page which is linked to at the bottom of the front page works perfectly OK.

I use Firefox and XP.

Best answers:

  • You tried opera or chrome ?
  • Try Firefox in Safe Mode.
    What about Internet Explorer?
  • It works fine for me too in FF and IE.
  • tested using FF and XP - the problem is yours.
  • Ryanair will use CSS not individually changeable html pages.
  • As DCFC79 suggested just try a different browser.
I recently changed after many years of use from Firefox to Chrome. Much better. Chrome seems to be the best browser nowadays as confirmed by this recent article https://www.digitaltrends.com/computi...fox-vs-safari/
  • Also changed from firefox after several years to chrome so agree with the above.
As for your issue, if you know how to disable firefox addons or run it in safe mode, do that, then if you have no problem it is one of your addons causing the issue.
  • Firefox can automatically disable outdated addons (and does, often without saying so). Scripts are needed for many functionalities, although they can also be dangerous.
I use an addon that automatically disables all scripts, so I reenable what is necessary for particular sites.
Check the tools menu, an see if any of the Java addons (there are often more than one) need updating.
  • I have tried various things without any useful result, other than that I can fill in the other insignificant box on the front page without a problem.
I will return to the thread when I can discover anything more.
  • 1. Are your cookies set to 'enabled'.
Check-tools/options/privacy, and select 'firefox will "remember history".
While there click on 'or remove individual cookies' and in the window opened see if you can see any relating to Ryanair. If there are, delete them and re-load the page.
    2. Javascript is used so you may need to see if that is working on other sites.
You can see the relavent code by- right clicking on one of the date boxes and in the popup select 'inspect element (Q)'.
An extra partial window opens and if you scroll the left side you will see the javascript references.
To close the partial click the X above the heading 'box model'.
The site appears to work for me. My Firefox is version 35.0.1 on win XP.
