A question about : Rules about if CSA payable if child gets pregnant.

Hi after some advice please. What are the rules about CSA if the child your paying CSA for gets pregnant. She is 17. Just want to know when liability ends, will it be when she is 20 or once she has baby. Many thanks

  • Do a search on here. There was such a thread a few months back where an OP was made to continue to pay maintenance to his ex for their daughter who herself was a mum and claiming all the benefits she could get as a single mum. Seemed very wrong, but I think the thread concluded that it was a loophole and that there was nothing the OP could do about it.
  • if your 'child' claims child benefit for her own child then as far as im aware csa stops. as only one (mother or 'your child' ) can make a claim for cb if they live in the same household. as far as im aware. however the 'mother can still claim cb if the 'child doesn't claim for her child, omg this is getting complicated, but i hope you get my gist,
    take care
