A question about : Ring`

Ok so here it gos, My wife would like an eternity ring for her birthday and my budget is tight. i have about Ј50 and I do have a Ј25 amazon gift card (thanks to swag-bucks) so Ј75ish on amazon.

It has to be white gold 9c or 18c and stones half way round.

I have found something i think i like
do you think this is a good buy or not??

Best answers:

  • Does it have to be diamond? You will get a far lovelier ring if you opt for different gemstones.
  • I like it
(Not my own taste, I prefer yellow gold, but it looks nice!)
  • I've got something very similar in yellow gold and after 15 years it still looks lovely and sparkly, only the other day my colleague commented on it.
    I'm sure she'll love it!
  • buy the ring you like and can afford...and give it with the love and affection befitting of an eternity ring.
  • I think it looks lovely. Also its going to be given with love so your wife wont care how much it costs xx.
  • By no means an expert, but think it looks lovely!
    Hope she agrees!

  • I think that's really pretty
    HBS x
  • I think it's a lovely ring & all the more special because of how you've saved for it x
  • That's lovely! A really good price too!
  • What about this one? A bit more diamond in it

The other thing I'd say is make sure you know your wife's ring size as some styles are difficult to resize.
  • Has your wife got her ring yet, OP? I'm dying to hear how thrilled she was!
  • I think it looks gorgeous. As long as you think your Wife will love it then I don't see that how much it has cost will matter at all. I hope she's thrilled with whatever you choose and it's a lovely gesture for you to have cut out so many little things in order to afford something lovely for your wife. Let us know what she thought if you went for it!!!
  • I have gone for it but still awaiting for her birthday to come round
  • I'm sure she'll be thrilled. Is it a surprise?
ETA you are obviously far more organised than my OH!
  • My OH got me this

It looks good in the picture, but even better when you see it for real in the sunlight.
  • Hi OP, I hope you checked what size she was first I think the ring is lovely and the way you saved is really sweet. She'll love it as it's from the heart. The only thing to be wary of with those types of settings is the stones can come loose (I used to work in a jewellers when I was at university). If the white gold starts to discolour she can always have it redone in a jewellers also, we used to do a lot of these and they came back good as new.
