A question about : Rights when concert tickets are reduced after purchase

I had purchased tickets for a concert but as the tickets have been slow to sell they have been significantly reduced. They are half price and have been for the past two weeks. I've contacted my point of purchase (SEE tickets) but no reply as yet. I was just wondering what my rights were?

• None, TBH. The higher price allowed you to guarantee a seat, if it had been a speedy sell-out, instead of going down you'd have had to go to a secondary agency and pay a premium
• Thank paddyrg, you make a very fair point. I wouldn't be complaining if I could make twice as much on it would I? I know few folk who've had their seat upgraded as such but as the concert is today I reckon I've left it to late to make fuss.

• You won't get anywhere with it, sorry. You were happy to pay that price at the time, but you could have waited to see if they went on sale.
  Pretty much everything you will ever buy will become cheaper at some point after you buy it. It feels a bit unlucky when it happens within a few days after but there's nothing you can do.

• You *could* try asking the promoter if they could put you in a better seat, although most ticket allocations mean you'll have the best of your price band by early booking anyway
