A question about : Rent Applications
Morning,
I'm looking to rent for the first time with my partner. I checked my Experian Credit Report and I've now addressed all the debts that are still on there ) approx 9 totalling Ј10k) by implementing repayment plans.
I'm curious to wonder to what extent your credit file gets checked when your looking to rent from a landlord.
Do they do a full credit score check?.... or do they just check for CCJ's and Bankruptcy?
Thanks for any help
Best answers:
- Most of them just do the public data check, as you mentioned.
- Cheers thats what I've been told and also presumed.
The big twist is I live in North West and my partner lives in the South East, So im in the middle of obtaining a job down there and then moving in.
Im looking likely to be offered a job, just slightly worried that my defaults may affect me getting a joint rent application - They only see public records. No defaults. The only way they will know is if you tell them.
