A question about : Relocation

Hi ☺️
I'm looking at relocating to the North yorkshire area next year and I'm looking for some advice?
I'm looking for some recommended areas that are nice to bring up children.
I'll be moving with 3 young children so my main priority is somewhere safe with low crime rates.
Works not a problem as I can transfer from my current job.
Money's quite right, I'll be buying around the Ј120 mark.
Has anyone got any suggestions as I'm clueless at the minute and im not really sure where to start?
X

Best answers:

  • North Yorkshire is huge and it depends how remote you want to be, facilities, with three children schools will be important.
Your budget will probably dictate where you can move to.
Skipton is a pleasant place, wide range of property for most budgets, large market town, has all facilities, decent road and rail links.
    York and Harrogate are expensive.
    Coastal towns Scarborough and Whitby.
Further north you have smaller towns like Richmond.
  • I'm from a busy town at the minute and would like somewhere a bit quieter, not a village or remote though. I've been keen on scarborough, I've read mixed reviews?
  • We used to live up near Bedale, highly recommend it and miss it dreadfully. We will move back there when husband leaves the forces (if not before)
