A question about : Refused a 0% Barclaycard

I applied for one of these cards.

Got a letter back several weeks later accepting my application, duly signed this and sat back waiting for card to arrive.

Nothing happened for three weeks so I rang them.

I was then told that due to a problem I had with them back in 1989 they would not issue a card until this matter was cleared up!

I told them I'd never been refused credit i.e. mortgage, credit cards etc etc in the past and to shove their card where the sun doesn't shine.

Cheerio Barclaycard, I wasn't all that fussed on their card `with so many strings attached anyway.
