A question about : Recycling Kodak Inkjet cartridges

Does anyone know of any companies that take used Kodak compatible inkjet cartridges? I haven't the skill to refill them, but I know of some companies that take them off your hands and refill them and sell them on.

I'm not worried about getting cash or loyalty points back, I just feel guilty about dumping them in the bin when they're empty. Most of the sites I've found do other printers (Lexmark, Canon etc.) but have yet to find one for Kodak compatibles.

Thanks for any input.

  • I too am now looking for a place where I can recycle my used Kodak 10b and 10c printer cartridges. I would love to gain a bit of cash for them but if not just want to recycle them to help save the planet.
Does anyone know where they can be sent/dropped off?
    thanks
  • I think printerinks [dot] com except old kodak cartidges for recycling. Sorry I can't post the link properly as I am a new member.
And if they don't chances are there will be a local company somewhere in your area that probably does.
  • I have been looking for somewhere that takes Kodak ink cartridges for some time. Today I received a charity bag for St. Margaret's Hospice that specificly lists that it DOES take Kadak ink jet cartridges.
    The freepost address is:
    IJT
    Freepost SWB11182
    Unit 1 Polham Lane
    Somerton
    SOMERSET
    TA11 6ZB
It is to raise money for St. Margaret's Hospice, charity no. 279473.
  • Thanks. Sent them a cartridge today.
  • Hello all
Just found this thread and because of the age of the info, I rang the hospice to check and they confirmed this is still the correct address, and they do benefit from the cartridges sent.
    Cheers

  • Thanks everyone for the information - I will send mine off today,
  • After a pretty extensive search, I have discovered somewhere you can send old Kodak printer ink cartridges: have a look at stinkyinkshop.co.uk where they say:
"Sometimes you wonder how Kodak could ever have gone bust. Then you see how unclear some of their information is and it kind of makes sense.
"Kodak's recycling scheme for the UK very helpfully informs you that you can recycle any Kodak cartridge at a participating Kodak Express Digital Solutions Program Store. If you speak to Kodak, they advise there are no stores now part of this scheme.
"You're in luck though, our recommended recycling program will take all your Kodak cartridges free of charge.":
  • Try your local Schools. Every School around here collects empty cartridges, I presume they must get something out of it ? Promotes recycling to kids at an early age.
  • STAPLES accept kodak cartridges to recycle, and they give you money off coupons in return
  • I am just in the process of setting-up a recycling scheme for my kids' school PTA, including mobile phones and ink cartridges. Some companies will only take specific brands but the one I selected, for eco-credentials, will take ANY cartridge off our hands even if we make no money from it, at least it gets recycled - kids have to learn it's not just about money.
    try moneytoschools.com
  • Hi all
I believe Sense (The registered charity for deafblind children & adults) recycle the kodak cartridges.
The address to send them to is:
    The Recycling Centre
    Freepost SEA 0216.
    Chatham
    Kent
    ME5 8UD
    Thanks, Zoe.
  • I tried Sense and followed a link to 'The Recycling Factory' - I called the freephone number and a helpful young lady advised that they could not take my series 30 cartridges - but then I said that I wanted to donate them to charity rather than bin them and after checking she said that they could accept them on that basis. She is going to send me some envelopes.
    Good news at last.
Not allowed to post web address so suggest that you Google The Recycling Factory + Sense
  • The SENSE envelopes ask for only HP, Lexmark, Dell and Canon and they are sent freepost to The Recycling Factory.
I just e-mailed Recycling Factory to check situation and they said they do deffinitely accept Kodak on behalf of charity and told me to use the SENSE charity envelopes for Kodak!
  • I have found this website:
    https://charityinks.co.uk/news/news-u...an-be-recycled
I just clicked on one of the charities listed at the side and printed off the lable. They recycle the Kodak 10 cartridges.
  • Just found this on the Kodak website:
Where can I recycle my KODAK Ink Cartridges?
Our ink cartridges are made mainly of plastics and become non-hazardous wastes when empty. They should not be discarded with unsorted household wastes. They may be placed in the segregated domestic waste streams along with other uncontaminated plastic wastes for suitable treatment.
Alternatively, cartridges may be put in a suitable container and posted to Kodak for recycling at:
    Kodak Limited Cartridge Collections
    Headstone Drive
    Harrow HA1 4TY
No money is raised for charity this way, but at least it avoids landfill...
