A question about : Recommendation for home fitness dvd for small house?

I live in a little cottage with low ceilings and previous videos have asked me to do 10 paces to the left, or throw my arms up in the air etc. My living room will only allow say 3 paces (or 4 without furniture) and the ceiling is at most a ft above my head, in one room it's even lower - I'm sure not everyone has a gym sized house so has anyone come across any dvds that keep things fairly contained? A basic exercise routine is all I want.

I still have a 3 stages to fitness video from Lizzie Webb which is about 25 yrs old at least and quite good for space but its condition is a bit ropey now - or maybe e it's my old vcr machine that's ropey!

Thanks

Eliza

  • There are some great free workouts on youtube. If you search for Fitness Blender, they have lots of videos on there and I'm sure you don't have to move around the room much on some of theirs. Hope this helps
  • Leslie Sansone, walk at home. All available on you tube and only require 4 steps ish but can also be done 'on the spot'.
  • I would also recommend fitness blender. The videos are on youtube as well as the fitness blender website itself, and they've got a huge range of workouts.
I've also got a small, very low ceilinged living room and have started weight training which generally requires a lot less space, so that's something you might want to consider if you don't already use weights.
  • 30 Day Shred too
    HBS x
  • just about to recommend Jillian Michaels 30 day shred too. Jumping Jacks, for height. think its on you tube too.
  • What about yoga? You don't need a lot of room for that, though it won't necessarily give you a super-heartrate-increasing workout (unless you go for something like Ashtanga). Still good for you though.
  • 30 day shred - Jillian Michaels
    Pilates DVD
I find both a difficult workout and don't need much space.
