A question about : Received LBCCC from parking Eye

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me. I received a 'letter before county court claim' about 2 weeks ago from a company called Parking Eye and is the first notification I've had. They are claiming that I committed a parking infraction in October 2014. There were no prior letters (we have checked everywhere) therefore, I don't know what the offence/infraction was.

I do still have my receipt from shopping in Morrisons on the day, though it only for about Ј15. I suspect that I might have overstayed (it was during the school half term and I was dragging 2 four year olds with me!).

I have been seeking advice about what to do since- received a mixture of advice from family and friends. some say ignore, others say not, and in the last few days, started to look online. I have completed an appeal on their website indicating that this is the first letter that I have received from them and asked for a POPLA code, but I am not sure if they will respond to this.

Does anyone have any advice? All advice much appreciated.

Best answers:

  • In the newbies thread section there is a really good piece written by ZZZLazyDaisy on how to acknowledge an LBCCC.
It needs a bit of reading on your part but it is well worth taking a bit of time to do so
  • So, you pay them Ј15 and they go away, you do not and they take you to court, where, even if they win, they are considerably out of pocket. Where is the sense in that?
