A question about : Really would love to know this!

I've always been intrigued by this? I, like many others use this forem to enter so many comps that the kind people post for us. I am really curious to know? Do those that post comps prolifically do well? I know for myself, it takes most of my spare time to even enter, let alone post the comps. I'd really love to know if you just post the comps, or do you reap the benefits? I don't want to offend anyone by not naming them here, cos each comp post is one we wouldn't have otherwise, but ones that come to mind are maybe Laks, Weeowen, C Cat, Elver Man, Jambo, One Eye,Firefly?

I'd love to know you get some rewards for your ongoing effort.

Best answers:

  • I've done well in the past but 2012 has been very poor.
A few concert tickets & some toiletries plus some other small bits.
    Soon can change though :-)
  • Thanks for replying Weeowens, I do think there are so many people comping these days, it really is a lottery. So glad you have some return for all you do,
  • Having spoke to a few of the posters privately, they dont do any better or any worse than most people.
Sometimes you can win lots and othertimes go months without a win,
But the main point is the posters post EVERY comp they find and they dont think - oh i wont share this one or that one,.
To me that is probably one of the most unselfish acts anybody can do and I applaud and always pm them a nice message if i win via one of their posts - and everytime you get back a really nice message that they are really happy for you - I pm'ed 'weeowen' recently and got a real nice reply.
Its like anything though in the end the more you enter the better the chance..
    Good luck
  • ive started posting some comps (mainly face book ones)
wins are ok, nothing big but good all the same
  • I don't usually post on here but that is not a very nice comment Deborah. Don't judge people for coming on here comping. There are various reasons why people on here comp. Perhaps people have fallen on hard times, have a disability or perhaps enjoy comping or a number of other reasons. Don't be so horrible you never know what is round the corner.
  • Naughty to say that espec to posters who are spending their time to try and help others.
If you arent happy maybe you should post yourself or maybe find a site that would suit you better,
Theres no need for negativaty especially about the posters, who without them many many of us wouldnt of won a thing,
I ve won over Ј2000 worth BECAUSE of posters like weeowens..
So Deborah mse newbie type comp sites into google im sure theres a more suitable site for you than this site,,
  • I've always wondered if those that posts comps regularly get a turnaround too.
I'd like to post more comps but all the ones I find have already been posted. I shall have to try and find some obscure ones.lol.
  • I agree Vanpopple whats with her negativity. She is being so nasty. Obviously just wants to cause a stir. It's best to ignore people like her x
  • Posts #9 & #10 by Deborah Phillipson
    passed to admin
No need for her to look for a site. Here's hers: https://groups.google.com/group/uk.re...titions/topics
  • Please don't feed the trolls. Deb phillipson is actually a comper herself with plenty of mse'rs as friends on Facebook. I find it a little strange to use her own name as a new poster to slate FELLOW compers. Just report to abuse
  • Unless it is not really her posting all this on here,ikkle87
    :-)
  • Unfortunately despite most compers being lovely well rounded people you get a few oddballs that go a bit crazy when they haven't had a win for a while so I would ignore the posts, these are the people that take comping way too seriously and get frustrated when they don't win.
I appreciate the time everyone takes to post and contribute, without them there wouldn't be a comping section on MSE, many seem to forget that it's a money site and they kindly allowed a comping board. Not of course that many will remember mse that far back.
  • In the Inn too:
Edited to delete the troll post
I feel this person is more likely to be an AE of someone on here rather the person they are "pretending" to be. In other words, a coward
