A question about : Question about Procedure
My other half got told last year at the end of November that there are going to be redundancies at his place of work, and judging by what they said, he is one of the ones to be made redundant. Apparently the first lot leave in February.
He had his first interview, where they outlined the system they are using for each employee, but has not had his 1 to 1 about him personally.
Unfortunately at the beginning of December he had an accident on site, which has caused whiplash injuries, he has been going to the doctor every week and is still signed off work on the sick.
He was called into work to discuss the absence this week, but is still under a doctors note till next Wednesday, they are trying to get him back in this week.
We think that this may be because they cannot start his redundancy procedure while he is off work, is this the case? Is him being off ill delaying the whole shebang with regard to his notice etc? (they didn't mention the redudancy at the meeting)
