A question about : Qark survey site

Hi,

I've just received an email from Qark asking me to join. It seems to basically be a survey site like many others.

I was wondering if anyone else has ever used them? The only reason i'm concerned is the fact they've emailed me out of the blue as i was under the impression that usually it's the other way around for these type of sites.

Here's the link to the FAQ page. It all seems genuine but i'd be grateful for any input.

  • I've had the same email. As you've said it all seems genuine and they have comprehensive FAQ's, T&Cs and privacy policy.
It says they're run by Arkenford and I have heard of these as I've done surveys run by them, I think through Valued Opinions and Toluna.
I'm going to do a bit more digging and will let you know what I find, or don't find
  • Did anyone find out if joining Qark is worth it?
  • I didn't risk it and went with Valued opinions instead as it had a fair reputation.
  • Post 6 by vishalrn is a referral. Hit the button
  • Giving it a go, only had one invite so far though and 10 mins into the survey i wasn't eligable, looks like it may be a bit hit and miss
  • did and was accepted for 2 surveys, still no payments and one was nearly 2 week ago, emailed them and no reply.
  • no no no do not join! i have done 4 surveys for them and i have only been paid for one, worth 3p!! i have queried it with them and they just fob you off again and again!
  • If they really want you to contribute they will be in touch again, until then steer clear in case of a scam.
  • Hi
The company has asked to provide a response. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the forum.
Hi, I am Carol Riddington the manager of the QArk Panel
Thanks for drawing attention to us.
Arkenford administer the Qark panel. We are a Market Research company who have been established for 10 years and are situated in Guildford, Surrey.
Our two main areas of experience are in Tourism and Computer Gaming but we are also involved in many others as all companies have to research their market places to understand their markets when launching products.
The Qark panel is designed for those interested in helping public organisations and companies find out what people think and do.
Members of the panel are invited by email from partner organisations only if the individual has indicated they would be interested in offers from 3rd parties.
In return they are rewarded for their time. Members need to earn Ј10 before they can cash out. Payments are attributed to people as soon as the quality of their survey has been verified by the organisation running the survey. The reward for each survey is explicitly declared with any invitation.
    Thanks
    QArk Admin
  • I joined this survey company in early July and completed two surveys for them. I have still to receive the points for both of them! They do not even provide a record in the members' accounts areas of surveys taken! At least with the likes of Toluna, you can keep track of your completed surveys, even though they keep you waiting ages for the points! I have written to Qark about this lack of survey records and my missing points twice now and they have not even had the decency to reply! I won't be doing any more surveys for them!
  • I have just resigned from this company! They fail to answer any e-mails and I have still not got the points for any of the surveys I have already done; this after two months! There is nowhere on the site to check surveys taken, so they're obviously hoping folk will just forget all about their missing points!
To add insult to injury, the latest I received from them was asking me to 'Like' them on Facebook! Fat chance!
  • I joined a few years ago. I find that I start a survey, and then about 75% of the way through it, I get a message to say I am not eligible for the survey, but they never say why. They often offer me another survey, but the same thing happens again. Maybe they just get the information they require, and then stop the survey so they don't have to pay me the promised reward. I unregistered myself from the site a few moths ago, but they still send me emails inviting me to take part in surveys.
