A question about : Processing job applications

Having just read the interview technique tips thread I just thought I would share an HR strategy that I read about a few years ago for screening CVs.

Apparently, this guy used to randomly throw half the CVs he received straight into the bin. This weeded out the naturally unlucky candidates.

Just thought I'd share this.

Best answers:

  • What a silly idea that is. The time taken to look even to glance at all c.v's could give them the ideal candidate for the job. Not going to find them in the bin. On another note i hope he recycled lol.
  • And make sure there's only relevant information in both the CV and covering letter; NO photo and avoid the use of the words "I" and "me"
