A question about : Pretty Muddy, Cancer Research

I'm doing my first ever charity event this Saturday with my daughter. We are both doing the Pretty Muddy 5k, in aid of Cancer Research .

Everyone has their own personal reasons for charities they support and mine is well documented on here, but a brief background is my mum became very ill with a double stroke and dad became her carer. My darling dad then developed bowel cancer, after almost four months in hospital he came out and then developed liver cancer, again after a long fight in hospital he came out to be told he now has lung cancer and leukemia title=Frown . He was given one year to live in 2012, yep he is still here having weekly chemo, not to shrink or get rid of his tumors but to make him comfortable and be able to carry on. Dad is 82 and amazing, my total inspiration.

My brother developed skin cancer last year and thankfully after having sections cut away he is ok now.

I have had part of my cervix lobbed off and too many to count precancerous cells removed, only three months ago I had cancerous moles removed from my arm and back.

My DH's dad died from lung cancer before I had chance to meet him title=Frown

These are the reason we have picked Cancer Research. If you would like to donate this is my Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/jaxis-troops/

I appreciate charity giving isn't for everyone and you could well be fed up of people asking for money, that's fine, I 100% understand, however if you do want to sponsor me and my daughter, any donation will be greatly received. Money donated on Just Giving goes direct to the charity, not via me, and you can donate any figure you like.

Thanks for reading
