A question about : Ppi refund

I started a ppi claim about 18 months with one of the large ppi company's. They took all my details checked my accounts with the banks and they are came back with nothing being owed. They said they could challenge the decision made by the banks but as I was only chancing my hand I didn't so it worth while wasting more of my or their time. We parted ways and I haven't heard anything from them since.

A week ago I got a letter from My bank telling me they had reviewed my case and had changed their mind that they did in fact owe me a refund.

Basically my question is do I need to tell the ppi company about this??

Best answers:

  • Yes, you do. If they had not made the original enquiry the bank would not be aware of your interest.
So but for them, you wouldn't have got this letter.
  • even if you dont tell them, the bank may well have informed them anyway.
  • Rude.... and there you are the one who has lost control and is swearing....
Im off to polish me walking stick lol.....
  • If the CMC had not offered to take the matter further and said it could do anything more then I think there would be an argument that it was not entitled to payment as it had admitted failure.
In this case, though, it is quite clear that the OP chose not to continue. Therefore, simply keeping quiet about it would seem to breach section 3 of the Fraud Act.
