A question about : PPI + mis-sold account package Natwest

Hello,

I want to make a PPI claim on the credit card I had with Natwest as well as a claim for mis-sold advantage gold package account as I was told the charge they are putting on my account was for the facility of having an overdraft and for running my bank account.
I am not sure how to start it all, should I run two separate claims: one for PPI and the other one for mis-sold package account or maybe as a one claim? Once I managed to pay back the credit on my credit card (it took me good three years or longer) I have not been using the card for about a year. I was looking at my online bank statements when I realised the credit card was cancelled/removed from my banking. Until today I do not know why. I cannot look at the history of my transactions as Natwest changed it and I can only look back up to 12 months (they call it historical transaction search). My question is how I can get hold of the statements, reason for removal of the credit card, ppi details and interests? If someone could point me a good direction it would be very appreciated.
Thanks title=You

  • 2 different complaints, probably going to 2 different departments
You do not need statements to make a miss-selling complaint the bank will still have copies if the account was only closed in the last year (they typically hold for 6 years - longer if an active customer or if they operate that way)
You should focus on what your complaint reasons are and how you can prove them. The account charge one will probably be easier if you have never used any of the benefits - just put in a complaint explaining your reasons - they will obviously know if you used any benefits and that will count against you. Do note if you were considered a risk and HAD to have the paid account or no overdraft then this is NOT miss-selling but a commercial judgement by the bank. Do also note you cannot prove any complaint like "I was told I had to have it" so don't waste time putting that in.
The CC PPI will be more of an issue as you haven't explained here why you feel you were miss-sold - simply having it isn't a reason. Explain in more detail and perhaps we can help.
