A question about : PPI claim on an insolvent company ?
Morning Money-savers,
Having had success with Barclays, I came across a (very) old loan with Consumer Loans Company in Solihull...who are now insolvent apparently.
Can I contact the administrators or are there any other options available to me?
I've tried a search but came up with nothing, but feel free to re-direct me if there is a thread running.
Thanks
Mikey

- See here. However its previous name was NHL Seventh Funding Limited and its business was "Administration of Mortgage Loans".
I daresay Kingstreet, and probably dunstonh and brokerwise, will recall that NHS was National HomeLoans Corporation - a centralised lender.
It sold products exclusively through brokers.
However, it closed to new business very many years ago - the early 1990s, if I recall correctly.
So I think it most unlikely that you would be able to make a successful complaint. - Hi,
I am in the process of trying to claim a mis-sold PPI policy from a Broker that ceased trading in 2004. The FSCS have informed me that as the claim is prior to 2005, I cannot claim through them.Anyone offer some advice or help on how I can progress or is it the end of the line?
I have already went through the FOS - TWICE!
Thanks in advance.
kippylawkid - Thanks for this dunstonh.
To explain, the claim relates to 2 policies taken out against a Barclays mortgage in 2003. I have tried the FOS twice after Barclays and the 2 insurance firms denied all knowledge of the policies. I have just established who the broker was that sold them. Unfortunately they are not trading. Despite both firms acknowledging the policies were mis-sold, I cannot claim a penny back.
Sick as a parrot.
kippylawkid - Wow thank you for such speedy and useful responses all.
As my loan and PPI was well before 2005, I'll give up on this one.
