A question about : ppi claim help

hello please could anyone advise me on how to find out what an old credit card account number was. I had a credit card which as paid off about 10 years ago and I know I paid ppi. I have tried to contact the card issuer to find out the information but because it is over 6 years old they wouldn't/couldn't help me, is there a way I can find out without having to go through any credit agencies to find this out as I would be worried if I did this it might effect my credit score? please

  • Thank you for your help. if I sent the bank a SAR would they still be able to find out my old account if it is over 6 years old and if not what would my next option be?
