A question about : Possible free Toothy timer from your water company for national smile month

A Helping Hand

We know it makes sense, but 'old habits die hard' and we all need a reminder now and then. Have no fear, help is at hand.

/SaveWaterSaveMoney has produced a handy little tooth timer… affectionately known as Toothy. Toothy Timer is a funky two-minute timer with a friendly (very toothy) crocodile on it, to get the kids thinking about the importance of brushing for two minutes. Toothy also reminds little ones (and adults) to Turn Off the Tap and save litres of water every time. After all, time flies when you're having fun.

Some participating Water Companies are offering their customers free or discounted Toothy Timers in support of National Smile Month. Check out advice on how to use water wisely and what's on offer from your Water Company here.

Official MoneySavingExpert.com Insert:

Water companies offering the toothy timer are Veolia Water (1,000), Wessex Water (3,000), United Utilities (5,000), Yorkshire Water (2,000) and South Staffs Water (1,000).

  • I went on the South Staffs web site via all the links as I thought I would get stuff sent to friends in that area however, the small print states ANY uk mainland address....so I have put mine in...& I have the email confirmation....

  • The toothy timer arrived today & I do not live remotely near the water authority who sent it
So as per their terms - ANY uk mainland address - worth a try if yours are out of stock or don't do it (like mine)
  • My water company (Severn Trent) aren't doing the Toothy Timer but I have ordered a free fat trap (will it work on my thighs? ).
However their terms do say the freebie is for their own customers only so I guess some companies are more savvy than others when it comes to freebies.
