A question about : Pet Supermarket won't honour free delivery code

I was trying to make an order on Sunday and on the top of the website it said free delivery on orders over Ј9.90. However when I got to checkout the code wouldn't work even though my order was substantially more and incidentally was as light as a feather (well almost). Chat wasn't on as it was the weekend so I went on chat today but they just don't want to know and kept repeating the code is no longer valid. Not good customer care and I will be taking my custom elsewhere on principal.

• The banner os still showing on the homepage although the exclusions appl link only goes to the normal delivery page.
  I tried an order but postage was charged.
  I have emailed Andrew Butcher at sales@pet-supermarket.co.uk. which is the address they say to send a complaint to.

  Pet supermarket - like many online retailers - all hiked their free delivery limit to Ј29 within a few days of each others ...... mmmmm
  I refuse to pay delivery so they've actually lost me as a customer but there's a few bits I'd have if it was free over Ј9.90! (which it used to be!)
• Well the site says they will reply within 24 hours- 21/2 hours and counting.
• After protracted email correspondence over 7 emails all saying much the same thing , which was totally ignored in their ( standard) replies I have now succeeded in getting to them to accept that the offer was still erroneously on the website when I logged on to order and they agreed to refund the delivery charge if I ordered right away,
• Everything is cheaper elsewhere anyway.
• I personally think Zooplus offer superb service. Their prices are always very keen and their savings plan has saved me over Ј5 already.
• The items I wanted were cheaper from them.
  I do check other suppliers before I buy from the chepaest source.

• Although still only free delivery over Ј29, it's definitely worth checking out Zooplus. Their prices are very good, they offer a savings plan which gives you 3% (I think) back for a small fee upfront, and also give 4% cash back via TCB, I've been ordering from them for a couple of years now with no problems at all
