A question about : Perfume/Aftershave

I love perfume & have several bottles thanks to my b'day & Xmas. My favourite is Jean Paul Gaultier Classique although I like to save it for special occasions.

Ladies what is your favourite perfume & in the name of equality gentlemen what's your favourite aftershave?

• Light blue by dolce and gabana. I got a bottle this week from my OH.
• I have e-normous problems with perfume.
  The vast majority of scents I find horrible, that is, to wear on myself.
  A lot give me a headache.
  Can't stand the fruity/vanilla/chocolate types. Too sweet and cloying and make me feel hungry, which I really don't need any help with!
  Others are just yuk!
  It takes me years and years to find a perfume I really like.
  I finally found one and used it for about ten years, and then it was phased out and finally discontinued. I was livid!
  I still haven't found one I really like. In desperation I succumbed recently, and bought Chanel No. 5. Huge extravagance that I won't be repeating. It's nice enough on me, but still lacks that "Ah! Bisto!" factor!
  My discontinued one was an chypre-type and had floral/sandalwood tones with a touch of patchouli. Deci Dela by Nina Ricci.
  I quite like a touch of musk, but these days I can't find any with musk notes. Musky perfumes were everywhere about 30years ago. Natural musk is banned, I think, as it's an animal product.
  It's sooooo annoying!
  Edit. Eek! Not annoying that animal products are banned! Annoying that it's so hard to find one I really like!
• My very favourite it Mitsoku. It was my step mothers perfume and the smell of it makes me think of her. Quite expensive though.
  On a daily basis I wear Anais Anais and sometimes Hugo Boss Sunset. I also have some Lalique somewhere. I'd forgotten about that!
  Oh and LouLou. I have that too.
• I have the Gaultier original and also the Paco Rabanne classic and XS.
  They last me for ages, mainly because I have a quick squirt of the free testers when we go shopping. I found a new tester the other day by Cartier, but it was about Ј80!!
  I like slightly peppery and some would say "soapy" fragrances.
• I wear an Aldi roll-on and I hold my breath when I have to cut through the Boots perfume department.
• Ghost Sweetheart for every day, Est!e Lauder Pleasures 'for best'.
  I like Blue Water on OH, although I don't like the women's version at all.
  Are there any perfumes you like on others, but on on yourself? That's Dune for me. I was so disappointed when I was given some.
• Jo Malone, either Amber & Lavender, Grapefruit or 154, closely followed by Azuree by Estee Lauder.

  SO .. original Burberry (for men) and even Joop.
• Gucci Envy - been discontinued for years.. Grrr... I occasionaly buy it on eBay for extortionate amounts :/
  Joop Homme and Le Male also firm favourites.
• I wear Fahrenheit for special occasions and Body Shop Activist for everyday use.
• My all time favourite is Opium.
