PC warning scam

A question about : PC warning scam

Got one of the usual calls about a problem with my PC this morning but this one claimed to be from BT not from Microsoft. Not heard them use BT before.

• the clue to it being a scam , is that you use virgin
• Yes they use Talktalk etc. now, just a revised version of 'We are from Windows' scam
• I sometimes enjoy the "we are from Windows" scammers, you can have lots of fun with them. Good for a rainy day when you are bored.
• Last week I got a Private on caller display and answer Indian called Alister(I asked who are you?), started asking me if I had BT? Wonder if it was the same idea? Total him no, never had a BT line and then P*ss off.
