A question about : Paying CSA when child is claiming benefits
Hello
If your child is 18, on a college courses but claiming esa for herself do you still pay csa. Mother does not get child benefits anymore and child is claiming esa, not the mother
Thanks
Best answers:
- Usually when CB stops so does CS contributions.
- A child with disabilities or illness and still in fulltime education .
Sounds like you may have found a loophole legally -of course there is nothing to stop you continuing to support the child by making the same payment direct to them instead. - a definition of a child for csa purposes is under 16 or between 16 and 20 and in full time education
