A question about : Pay existing credit card with 0% purchase card?
Hi, hoping for some advice. My husband has applied for a new credit card with 0% interest for purchases for a bike he is due to collect and pay for this weekend. He had confirmation he had been accepted but as yet the card has not arrived (only been a week to be fair) but my question is can he pay on an existing credit card we have and then use the new 0% card to pay this card off when the statement comes through? We have done balance transfers previously where you pay a fee but ideally wanted to use a 0% interest purchase card to avoid extra costs. Not sure if this would qualify as a purchase though so wouldn't get the 0 interest. Any help much appreciated.

- If you could do that, it would render BT cards useless...and cut the BT card provider's profit by 2-3% per BT wouldn't it?
In short, the answer is no.
