A question about : Parking charge notice wakefield excel parking

I recieved a parking charge notice so appealed against it as we did actually try to pay the parking fee when we parked the car, but the machine said paid free parking when we inserted the money.
The company have responded saying that we still have to pay the fine as there is a phone number on the terms and conditions which we should have called to report their was a problem.

I have read the other threads and now realise I should have just ignored it but my concern is that they no myself and my husband were there. I didn't say who was driving though.

Could someone give me some advise on what I should do please

Thanks in advance

  • Hi I can see where you mean please help.
  • its the thread about second or third down from the green banner, but above this one , find it , read it , several times, so read and learn
  • I found the information thank you, but it's seems from what is said about IAS (the stage I am at) I may as well pay the Ј60 as I will probably lose which then the cost will go up to Ј100, with debt collectors involved.
Am I taking this in right or am I getting mixed up, I am no good at this sort of thing.
    Thanks in advance
  • the choice is yours , pay or ignore, but I doubt you would win at the IAS , VERY FEW DO
the debt collectors can do NOTHING at all, except refer it back to Excel (other than send out scary letters with half truths)
  • Thank you, do you know on average how many get to court?
