A question about : Painting Dormer above conservatory
Hello - I have chalet style semi detached house and need to sand, paint, fill etc a wooden dormer above the lean-to conservatory below.
The conservatory is the width of the house and about 2.5 metres deep.
Anyone know how I access the dormer safely?
Scaffolding would do but I expect is expensive, a ladder wouldnt be safe due to the angle.
Best answers:
- Definitely want a safe approach just wondered if there was a cheaper access method available that someone in the trades could suggest.
- What is your conservatory roof made from?
I had a similar issue needing to get to access the house roof above a lean-to conservatory. My roof is polycarbonate sheet so I ended up waiting for a dry day, removing the beading that hold in one of the poly roof panels (bit like beading that holds in a normal window) and then taking the roof panel off temporarily. Then used a ladder from the inside of the conservatory to the house roof. Wasnt too much effort and saved me a load of cash on scaffolding.
