In an email direct from Voyages of Discovery this one looks good value for those looking at the transatlantic options.

• A quick scan of TXT 228 the 14n caribbean deals are appearing just under the Ј1kpp for the pre Xmas period(Oct->Dec).
  P&O Azura and ventura both show the Ј999 for some dates, any TA should be able to get these prices or better
  There is a report on the cruises forum of a Xmas deal on Sea Princess in an AC for under Ј1500. not sure about this one princes show ACs sold out.

  The RCI Independence 18n round trip Southampton med cruises in Jan/Feb should also be available with a bit of shopping around at Ј900 so the magic Ј50pppd , RCI direct prices are around Ј1k.

  The one that caught my eye on TXT was the canaries 14n 16 Oct at Ј599 or less through a TA.
  the other ship the ocean countess also has some good pricing.
• Xmas and New year are usualy peak dates so prices tend to reflect the demand from families.
  Also not a lot of choice ex UK with no flying.
  RCI independence has lead in price of Ј1499pp direct
  (5% discount on cruise fare if booked on-line or should get 5% OBC with a phone booking),
  TAs should be able to get this down to under Ј1350pp (10%+ discount) that will cover the grats.
  21st Dec -8th Jan 18 nights so depending on the local school dates this may be within the school holidays or only require a couple of days off.

  P&O Oriana world cruise sectors are now on offer through various agents
  Best value seems to be 15Nov 32night Hong Kong to Southampton at Ј1300 including the overnight flight and 1 night hotel(30n cruise).
  This is well under the Ј50pppn. factor out the cost ofthe flight and hotel probably under 30pppn

• RCI have dropped the Independance early 2011 prices.
  8 Jan and 26Jan ex southampton 18 Nights now start at Ј829 through most TA's
  Thats under the Ј50pppn allthough that will not include the tips or parking.
  Direct with RCI the price is a bit more.
• We quite fancy a new year cruise, but there dont seem to be that many about, and we would want to depart on/around 28th/29th Dec for a week max. Any ideas? preferably cheaply!!

  13th, 26th, 27th Nov including LGW flights.
  This one has been a round for a while still 22 cabins for the 26th(as of 8am 10th Nov).
  They were doing 4pax for under Ј2k(inc flights) but this sold out while I was away(on a cruise).
