A question about : online banking

Hello, I am student and I am doing research on online banking. This survey is anonymous and I am not collecting any personal details. It is for my degree work so I will appreciate all responses. Thank you so much for your time. I can't post proper link due to my 'newbie' status hopefully I will be able to do it soon.

This is the version of 'link' i can post at the moment.

Best answers:

  • Done.
One point, when completing the survey the page reads...
"Thank you very much for taking part in my research, all results will be posted on ...."
Should there be a web address or something here?
  • oh I forgot to add address of website I created. Thank you for pointing that out
  • Here is the link to the survey.

  • Thank you so much for posting proper link. You are a star!!!
  • morTgage
you assume only one online banking relationship - many MSE posters use multiple providers and the ease of using sites varies
  • I gave up at question 5 "employment status", as the only options are employed, unemployed or student.
What about the rest of us??
  • Oh sorry forgot to add self employed. Is that what you ment?
  • What about retired?
  • Than you for all feedback I made some changes to employment status changes. To include mentioned statuses
  • You need "not applicable" and "don't know" as possible responses to your "how easy is it to ......." section.
I couldn't complete that section because these options were lacking. Didn't you get someone to look at your survey before it went live? I'm happy to fill it in but there are only so many times I'll remember to go back.
  • OK, just done the survey again. A couple of observations:
  • Survey still assumes people have online banking only with one financial institution (I have online access to 22 different organisations, for current account, credit card, savings accounts, investments)
  • Set up new Direct Debits - that has nothing really to do with online banking
  • "Use graphs and charts to summarise your account" - - this is a function not available with most banks
  • Yes I had my supervisor to have a look at it...;/ I added the n/a section.
  • Archi Bald - I am only interested in actual use of online banking in general, benefits of it, what concerns consumers when it comes to security of being a user, not on how many accounts can you access through it, when it comes to direct debits you can access all details of it and amend it or cancel it same like with standing orders that is why I would like to know how many people can use that function (however I will amend this question to amend and cancel). Graphs and summaries if it isnt available for certain online banking I have n/a or dont know option now.
  • OK, it's your survey. I was just suggesting that you might get very different answers from people who use online access for several financial institutions as opposed to those who only use one or even none.
  • Thank you for your advise really appreciate it. It's just the fact I have fixed word count and I can't be going into too much details that's why my survey is more general.
  • Done it now. Good luck with your project.
