A question about : O2 parking, quoted Ј19-50

Kids signing in a concert there this week (which seems to exist purely to make money for organisers - hmph) but as it will finish late and we live a way away we are planning on parking there.

The official carpark is offering us discounted rate of Ј19-50 - but does anyone know of any carparks or areas a bit further out that are a short hop on a bus etc that would bring the cost down? We're coming from Kent Borders so happy to park in Greenwich/Canada Water etc and do rest of journey on bus

• May be better going to Old Street Tesco and taking the mainline back to the O2
• just park in Car park 2, not first car park as you turn in the road as this is the station car park and they charge more.
  This is the car park for cinema/restaurants. Min Ј5 or 6 to 9 hours is only Ј10.
  You get 4 free hours if you visit the cinema, you can be clever and buy one cinema ticket and claim the four free hours but this is a lot of messing about. do the maths and work out which would be cheaper, depending on how long you are staying.
• Like legg11 said park in car park next to station car park and they will ask you if your going to concert just say no that your going for a meal and they will issue you a ticket to pay by the hour do it all the time when I go to gigs.
• Buy a children's cineworld ticket and you get 4 hours free. Just show them proof of the ticket and they give you it.
