A question about : Npower letter mess up

Hi all,

I've tried to get a freebie boiler using Npowers green deal scheme, after the two surveys were done they told me I had to pay, Ј929.99 contribution. The reason I went for the freebie boiler is because I am on benefits as I'm disabled so therefore can not afford a new boiler.
I payed the Ј929.99 that I now have to pay back over 4 years and then today I've had the boiler fitted and everything is great after 5 weeks with no heating or hot water, its been hell to be honest.
Today I received a letter from Npower dated the day after they got the money saying it was going to be free and absolutely no charge to myself.
I phoned them up and they say that it was an error and the letter should not have been sent out.
Now my argument is they have had to go on to my account to get my details so they could see I had already paid when the letter was done, so why should I not get a refund of the Ј929.99?????
