A question about : North London

Hi,

My parents (both aged 71) and my niece and nephew (aged 11 & 8) are coming to visit me from Ireland. My dad is taking my nephew for his first ever time to see Arsenal at the Emirates stadium. The match is on a Saturday at 3pm.

My parents aren't as mobile as they used to be so I am hiring a car for the weekend and plan to park near Emirates that morning. Can anyone advise of anywhere we could go first that's near by before they go to the football?

Also, whilst the boys are at the footie myself, my mum & my niece will also need something to do. Mum is a bit more mobile than dad so I think she could handle the tube from Arsenal or Holloway Road to somewhere else.

Any advice on where to visit would be appreciated. All ideas welcome, even better if they are free or low cost!

Thanks

Best answers:

  • What about Upper Street - lots of nice cafes.
Or Convent Garden is only a few stops on the tube.
Or the British Library - not too far away at Kings Cross.
Or the British Museum not far from Russel Square on the Piccadly Line.
  • How about a stadium tour? Pretty sure they do them on matchdays.
