New boiler quote

A question about : New boiler quote

Hi all,

I've been given a quote of Ј3500 for the installation of a new combi boiler - a Viessman 35kw. This will involve moving the position of the boiler, new pipework, and decommissioning of an old water tank and boiler, as well as powerflusing and new thermostat etc.

Still, this seems very high to me - what do you think?

• Did you ask for this type of boiler, or was it recommended by the plumber?
  Its best to have 3x quotes. The big men "i.e Ј4k British Gas", "The larger firm Middlemen" and the "Guy from the Paper".
  What area do you live in?
• We're in London. This is the first quote (getting some more tomorrow). The boiler was recommended, but he'd also be happy to provide a Valiant.
• Ask for 10yr warranty,
  I was offered this by a viesmann trained fitter.
