A question about : Tracing Old Car Loan Information
I had a car loan for 5000 pounds approx 16 years ago.
I don't have any details and cant remember who it was with.
Is there any way of tracing this to check if I had PPI on the loan.
Best answers:
- If you have no records all you can do is try the dealer but 16 years ago is around 1999/2000 and if it was a car loan sold by a dealer (rather than from a bank) then the case was 5 years before regulation started so they can reject your complaint as pre-regulation.
If it was a loan from a bank all you can hope for is sending a DSAR (+ Ј10 payment) to them and see if they have any records left
