A question about : Noddle free report

Hi all,

I'm looking into getting my free credit report from Noddle to back up the Equifax statutory report I've already got (Experian will take a week so will prob not bother as I've been happy with Equifax in the past).

Has anyone got their report through Noddle? I know that it will show similar info to the other agencies but I'm curious as to the signing up procedure.

How do they know you are who you say you are and it's not someone else trying to get your info? Other agencies require card payment which should flag up the access to the card owner (provided they check their statements!) or activation codes sent to the address so that would require burglary or post interception. Do Noddle take a dummy payment or something?

Cheers!

When you sign up you give all your personal details such as date of birth, present and past addresses etc. and then they confirm your ID by asking for credit card details. They didn't make a charge against the card but just authorise a zero payment to confirm the identity.
They required a card which you have had for some time, I can't remember the exact requirements, but you wouldn't be able to use a card which you have recently got.
    Hope that helps.
I have found checking the noddle report each month quite useful.

  • Many thanks for your reply.
The card confirmation is good enough for me! Was worried that they would only require basic info that others may be able to find out.
I'll register and check mine! I like to check my statutory report every 12 months or so, so this is useful to keep a more regular check (plus it will hopefully pick up anything missed by Equifax).
    Thanks again for the info.
