A question about : Noddle

Anyone else had an email form Noddle asking for credit card verification?
Anyone else done it yet?
I'm holding off until I'm sure it's legit.

Best answers:

  • if unsure contact your card issuer?
  • yes I have, fully active and working
  • Mitch - I don't see how my card issuer can help.
They can't tell me whether the email or link is genuine.
They can't tell me whether this company will charge me when they say they won't and it's just for id purposes.
Sounds like it's legit, so I will try it and let you know how I get on.
  • It's Callcredit's new free service.
    Here's the MSE report: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/new...rom-callcredit
  • Did you register on their website to obtain access when they rolled out the trial into full operation?
The credit card allows them to confirm you are 1) over 18 and 2) match the name and address you are giving them to the name and address on your credit card statement (at the bank and if possible on your credit report, with both the monthly data and public data like the electroal roll), which is a bog standard form of ID verification done by many many companies these days. This stops other people from registering and getting hold of your credit file and is what allows instant access.
  • Yes, I signed up for the trial.
I don't generally click on links from emails but this one had a sepcial referral id for the free trial so I can't go direct to the website as I'll lose the deal.

  • The link isn't to noddle, it's to callcreditcheck.
My general rule is to never click links and go direct.
Your approach in theory is good, but a minor spelling difference could take you to a fake website so you have to be really really careful with that approach.
  • I got the email to sign up but when doing so though the call credit website it said i am already a member of call credit so am unsure what to do now to access my noodle account.
    Anyone else had this?
  • Just an update.
My first 2 logins failed. I was concerned about repeats tries because of the potential Ј12 charge but Noddle were quick to respond by email and assured me I would not be charged.
Worked the 3rd time and I have access to credit reports but not scores.
Still waiting for a Noddle account (currently have call credit) but have not been charged and the quick email responses are re-assuring.

  • I have just received my noddle account details.
So expect it to take about 3-4 working days.
  • I'm abit confused i signed upto noodle got the email regarding registering my details and getting my credit file. I did this but then recieved an email saying i needed to give proofs including passport and bank statments but also i had to give evidence that showed my previous address.
i queried this via email saying that was over 5 years ago and i didn't have anything from the previous address. afew days laters they said on fruther investigation i could be verified and that my account was now open.
This led to a callcredit link using my username and password which i thought was my noodle account but today i've got an email from noodle with my account details password username etc.
How have i created a noodle account and a callcredit account ?
I understand that the noodle account is free but i assume the callcredit is a payed for one.
regarding callcredit looking at account settings no credit or debit card details are included and it says i'm allowed one credit report per month but the credit score is blacked out.
all very confusing ! will i be charged for the callcredit account ?
  • it does say i've used up my credit score access for this month without actually getting one hopefully it is the free version.
i'll make sure to look out for any transactions next month.
    thanks for the speedy reply
noodle seems ok and it does say it will improve over the next few weeks and months its just another way to be fully informed about our credit files.
  • yes i had to do it several times also but then i gave up
the following day i got an general email saying they had problems and to do it again. I did but then it said i needed to provide further proofs. But thats now been resolved.
  • whats anyone think of the report layout and the codes they are using?
