A question about : No tickets...can we still go to Olympic Park?

We didn't manage to get any Olympic tickets but would still like to take the family to London to do something Olympic. Does anyone know if it's possible to spend a day in the Olympic Park without actually having tickets for a specific event?

I know previous Olympics have been open access but I can't be clear from the LOCOG website what the siutation is in London.

Best answers:

  • Sorry, finally have an answer: had to create an account and delve into the bowels of the ticketing website to do so!
In case it's of use to anybody else:
Park Pass only tickets (no access to events) go on sale on 29 May at Ј15 per ticket. In order to purchase tickets you will need to create an account at
    https://www.tickets.london2012.com/
and pay by VISA card...or go to box office any pay cash.
  • Those tickets will only be available for the first weekof the games - will be much busier in the Olympic prk the scond week with more athletics events bringing perhaps 130k spectators per day with them
