A question about : Nissan Juke

Hi are there any car seat fitting experts on here who could help please or perhaps another Juke owner....

We need to buy the next stage car seat and want a rear facing one as these are safer. For some reason this country is ridiculously behind on this and hardly anywhere stocks them making it difficult for us to try one out first.

I have been looking at the maxi-cosi Mobi but I can't find whether it would fit a Juke and also worried about how far forward the passenger seat would have to be to fit it in.

Any advice please? Thanks in advance

Best answers:

  • Have you contacted the manufacturer? Dont they need to ne specially fitted to be rear facing?
So simply picking one off the shelf to try wont be quite that simple.
  • Your best bet would be to look at the rear facing website - sorry I can't post links yet.
I have bought all my rearfacing car sets from the In car safety centre in Milton Keynes as when I first needed one they were pretty much the only stockists. These days you'll likely find somewhere local to you has them, I found I had to go to 'posh baby shops' rather than Halfords or Mothercare.
If you haven't already tried I would also suggest looking at the Mumsnet forum which has a car seat section.
  • Order one to your local Mothercare if they stock them online, then try it out in the car park. Return if it doesn't fit.
I would've liked a rear facing one now my little one has outgrown her baby seat. Unfortunately my car is a three door and our other car is too small to fit one.
