Best answers:

  • If you are going to publish 'Scottish Referendum 'In the Know' Information Pack' which claims to 'highlight the benefits of Scotland remaining in the UK.'
To remain impartial don't you think you should publish something from the Scottish Government highlighting the benefits of Independence?
I wouldn't believe anything the UK Government has got to say on the Independence issue and if Call Me Dave told me it was raining outside, I would go and check first.
  • To be totally honest I think you should remove anything to do with Scottish Independence as there are plenty of independent sources of information available rather than Westminster propaganda.
  • Hello Fergie76
Thank you for your comments, we appreciate your feedback.
The information we publicised was approved and sent to us by the Royal Navy media team. We highlighted the content as part of our remit as information providers. The information was included in our e-update to assist readers in their awareness of the referendum and debate the points that the vote raises. We work on the basis that interested parties will conduct their own research and reading, from multiple information sources, ahead of making their personal decision.
We appreciate your comments and raised the point in the Fleet Media meeting this morning; I can confirm that neither the Royal Navy nor the NFF has not been approached by the Scottish National Party to help promote their key messages.
In view of your raised point, I will add a line to our website coverage to encourage families to read information from a variety of sources before making their decision.
    Kind regards,
    NFF
