We have been developing a new tool to find hidden discounts on Tesco Wine online. Its site doesn't let you search by discount size, so this tool helps you find them.

We're building a tool for a range of online wine sellers. So far, only Tesco is the only one in and working, so we're testing it as a Tesco Wine Discount Finder for now. If you have 2 minutes to feedback on how it works for you by replying to this post, that would be ace.

• Works well with my limited knowledge of wine. Just remember there is a Ј5 delivery charge added, i presume it has to be delivered?
• but it only does tesco...surely i can 'compare' at one store myself. or am i missing the point?
• Worked well for me.
• I find it easier to use Tesco's own search facility. I just search by price so always look at Ј3.99 and under a bottle and it brings all up the special offers and bin ends.
  I think the search would work better if it included all valid discount coupons and points codes.
• Works fine but not sure it does much more than tescos search?
• Quidco have 5% off Tesco Wine for the next five days.
• Max price on the tool filter seems a bit off, maybe using a "less than", rather than "less than or equal too" expression
  I searched for all bottles Max Ј4 in the tool, but it won't actually show the bottles that are available for Ј4 exactly.
  (test search Red/55%/ Ј4 or Ј5, All /All / Discounted at Ј4 filter zero results, at Ј5 2 results, 1 @ Ј4/bottle La Capilla total Ј29 inc del and another @ Ј4.26/bottle.)
  If I select a Max price, think I would expect to see bottles available at that price.
• 50% filter is OVER 50% ... ignores those with 50% off.
• Errrmm ... well it works lovely, but not sure how this is any better than the Tesco website search?Also, why is this posted under the Grabbit section? Best not let a mod catch you or you will be in trouble!
• There are some rounding errors that need sorting out.
  I searched for 55% reds - got two wines listed, one 56%, one 55%.
  I searched for 50% reds and the list starts with one 56% and two 55%. So I wonder why the second 55% didn't appear in 55% search - well actually because it's a 54.6% discount.
  So by all means round up or round down, but make it consistent?
• Works well - but I foolishly put 'UK' in country drop down list thinking it meant country of residence (I'm a brunette!)
• Found big discount 60% on a Sauvignon Blanc that the usual search in Tesco did not show. Very good start and will be better when more stores included.
• Bit of an issue - doing a search for champagne using the following type settings:
  Sparkling (incl champers) returns 19 results -
  Champagne - returns 45 results.
  All other values left as default
• Good idea, especially when you get the other major retailers (including Majestic, and maybe BBR) included. You're obviously using cached results however, as Andre Carpentier has been taken out of the discounts again, but it still shows up. Perhaps one needs to set a 4 hour cache refresh rate?
• Good idea that needs fine tuning .
  I would appreciate it if the in store price and percentage volume could also be shown.
• I shall be using it when I have paid off the credit card.
  And I shall be delighted if you include other retailer, such as Majestic, Waitrose, Sainsbury
