A question about : New Lloyds Club current account
Spoke to Lloyds customer services advisor today & asked if they could give any info on the soon to be released LLoyds Club account.
Was told the following:
Would have to be funded with Ј1500 a month or there would be a fee of Ј5.
2 Direct debits would have to be set up on the account.
There would be a linked savings account with bonus interest rates for 12 months.
Tiered interest up to Ј5000.
Special offers on magazine subscriptions & other deals.
I asked the advisor if he could tell me what the interest rates would be & he said that info wasn't available.
All in all i wasn't really overwhelmed with what he told me but lets hope it offers some fab interest rates for account holders.
Best answers:
- Can't say I'm overwhelmed either. Wonder when this will be released and what the interest rates will be.
- According to another thread about this account, it's been slated for March 22 (this Saturday).
- I'll stick with my Nationwide FlexPlus thanks
- Is it to replace Vantage?
- Yes my understanding is that Vantage accounts for new accounts will be withdrawn when club Lloyds starts.
Any existing Vantage accounts will be ok - but for how long? - I opened a 2nd Vantage account today before they got rid of them with the introduction of Lloyds Club
- Any word on whether Bank of Scotland's Vantage offer is being replaced too?
- I don't see any links to the Plus account yet, but I do notice that the Enhance account is now marked "No longer on sale".
Hope everyone upgraded to it in time! - There seems confusion in this thread between Lloyds Club (the subject of this thread) and TSB Plus (the account of a different bank).
- They are still the same group unless I'm missing something?!
More product changes will occur once TSB is sold or floated by LBG.
