Hi,
I am 55 next week and have a small pension of approx Ј5000. I have just phoned the company as I would like to take 25% now. I spoke to a really helpful lady who told me that instead of taking the Ј1200ish and then receiving a couple of hundred pounds a year I could transfer my pension to another company who may release Ј1200 now and then when the new government rules come into force next year would pay the remainder of the money in a lump sum. Can anyone tell me of a company which would do so...thank you

• If this is your only pension at all (apart from State pension) I think you can take it all now.
  But you would pay income tax on 75% of it.
