• I watch things through a website caked Primewire. Does anyone know if I would be able to add this site to this box.
• Almost sounds too good.....what's the catch I ask?
• It's heavily disabled to favour Sky.
• They are not daft, they have a big stake in Roku and now a huge media interest (great advertising for them) in this Ј10 box!
  I have a Wii (wifi) which serves me Lovefilm, Netflix, Youtube and Iplayer.
  Have a PVR with (ethernet) Viera Connect.
  Do I need another (limited) box/clutter? Probably no!
  A pocket friendly (wifi) box that does the whole kit kaboodle would be tempting (Itv player/4od/iplayer/c5od/Netflix/Lovefilm/YouTube/stream from iOS n pc and Now tv maybe when necessary)
• The original MSE article says "If you don't have a TV with a HDMI socket, then you won't be able to use this box."
  That's not actually true, as the NOW TV box also has another output socket that lets you use a 3.5mm jack to AV cable to plug it into a SCART adapter. I contacted Sky and they said they'd send me the appropriate cable for free.

• Ahhh... Sky's answer to YouView. How disappointing.
  Saying they've disabled the box for rival providers services, that are available on the full-blown Roku ones. Poor.

• Its actually quite a good piece of kit for ten pounds your not getting a youview box did anyone think you would for that amount ? Sky have disabled the app store so you can't install netflix crackle or other film streaming sites. But you have access to the dev code settings so you can actually sideload apps only one though. many have installed an app called plex but others like netflix crackle may become available shortly all you need is the native app. For ten pounds its very good value and with the 6 months for 15 pounds offer for sky movies option on the box its a great deal imo.

• ....thought about using it as a substitute multiroom box for Sky Sports as I'm an existing subscriber...but its a no go as I would still have to pay Ј9.99 per day !!

• I just bought one of these. Once I'd gone through the process of buying it, it tells me I have to subscribe:
  'You will need a NOW TV account in order to use your box. If you don't already have one, please sign up to a Sky Movies Pass 30 day free trial or purchase a Sky Sports Day Pass for just Ј9.99.'
  So actually it costs more than the 9.99. The free trial of course assumes you will forget to cancel...

• Hi i'm not sure if maybe I am the only person who has their pc connected to their main tv and accesses I player catch up tv for free, without the need for this new gadget. if your tv has a HDMI port then you can connect with a relatively cheap to buy HDMI cable and you are ready to go. there is info via google search if you encounter any problems but it was just one quick step and we were up and running within minutes. good luck !!
