  • The price of jet fuel has also started rising (at the moment by about 5p/l).
I was one of those that never thought it would go below Ј1 anyway, but such is life.
Cheapest diesel I've bought has been at Ј1.08, about 3 weeks ago in Leeds.
  • A petrol price INCREASE story on MSE? *passes out*
  • It'll probably end up like 2010 again. I remember it being around 105 at the start of the year, then was 120p by the summer.

I know, I posted about this last week too. And the price has risen again this week.
  • Twice Tesco have put it up this week!
  • Only one time did i get the cost at 99.9ppl with my 3p off voucher. I am sure in the summer i will be paying Ј1.50ppl and the justification Russia, Greece. Germany. O what the hell lets just blame it on tesco's now making a profit which makes the world unstable i think you get my point.
  • petrol and diesel prices have risen, but has the oil price?
MAssive differences in prices across the midlands area. For me diesel as low as 109.9 but as high as 117.9...disgraceful really. I actually think its worse as prices didn't fall as fast and never got that low in some service stations
  • Yes, the oil price has gone up but my money is on a downward bounce in May/ June time. We might see sub Ј1 prices by July.
  • Has anyone seen a graph that shows the crude oil price alongside the UK unleaded pump price?
It would be interesting to see whether there is substance to the allegations that price cuts take longer to be reflected at the pump than price rises.
  • So oil price begins to rise and petrol goes up almost immediately, yet when oil price falls, we are told we don't see an immediate fall in price due to bulk buying of oil...
  • It was always pretty unlikely to happen given how much tax there is in a litre of fuel, fixed production costs and the exit of companies which couldn't make enough money in a dropping market. It was not surprising that the price of oil started to increase as production reduced among the smaller players.
  • I'm paying (Well my boss) Ј1.17 in Central London
  • BBC News 24 seems to be doing an oil special next Tuesday.
No details yet, just a short mention.
  • I can remember when there was disbelief that petrol would cost as much as Ј1 a gallon.
  • From the Shares page in The Sun today I've noticed the price of Brent Crude has dropped around a $ since yesterday so hopefully we'll see a downward trend again.
