A question about : Mortgage after Bankrupt
Hi was just looking for some advice,
I went bankrupt 5yrs ago April and had my house repossessed,
My current partner who has no financial issues in the past and I want to buy a house together.
We have a decent deposit and can afford what we want biggest question is
Can it be a joint mortgage due to my bankruptcy ?
My partner will not get the mortgage just on her income so I need mine to be included
Any help would be grateful
Thank you

- Hi,
You would be best to wait for the BR drop off your credit reference file before looking for a mortgage.
Use the time to make sure your credit file is clean and sort and squeaky following the clean up sticky.
Also make sure you have as big a deposit as possible.
When you come to it use a whole of the market advisor not just your high st. bank.
