A question about : Merlin Annual Passes- Ring-fencing??

I'm hoping someone will be able to help me!

I ordered some annual passes last year for my family at a total cost of Ј357 (reduded from about Ј510ish) on 30th Dec. Around mid Jan I realised I had no confirmation e-mail or details to collect them, but the money had been taken out of my account.

Since then, after several hours on the phone I am still confused. They say that they are unable to claim the money as there is a 'security issue' (no further explanation) and they have no record of my booking (although they clearly recieved my card details). They say the money has been 'ring fenced' (whatever that is) and they have faxed my bank to instruct them to release the money to me. My bank on the other hand say that the money has been debited from my account, which means it has been claimed by the other party and is not being held by them or anyone else. They gave me the fax number but the three people I spoke to all didn't know where the faxes on it went to. So I'm basically stuck between 2 companies both telling me they have done what they can and I am still Ј357 down.

On top of this, the sale ends on Sunday and if this isn't sorted out by then I will lose the sale price and have to pay an extra Ј150. Merlins only solution is that I can buy again now and wait for the money. The ignorance of thinking I have Ј357 just floating about to pay them tice for something I still don't have is laughable.
