A question about : MegaBus free tickets

MegaBus seem to have some ticket for Ј0.00. i have only checked Cardiff to London, it seem to be for travel mid January to end of February.

Best answers:

  • Good spot, could be worth a try
  • Thanks for this. Link here
  • Wow, the prices are ridiculous! look at this...
  • Departs 05:30 London, Waterloo
    Arrives 08:44 Weymouth, Train Station
  • 3hrs 14mins
  • 2 seats = Ј2.00
  • The trouble is, I can't get to London for 5:30 in the morning, and the cheapest return journey gets me back to London for 7:50pm - where I'd still have to get a train to the closest town to me, then a bus home after 9pm, which isn't going to happen, not round here
An awesome deal if you live somewhere they pick up from though. Well done.

  • surely it must be a mistake? If not, what a bargain if you live on one of their routes.
  • oooo thanks for this is was going to london anyway in feb so just got mine and my sisiters return journey for 50p!!!!
  • Help what am I doing wrong cant get any dates after Jan 12th.
  • Just be aware you get what you pay for with Megabus, on Friday I travelled from London to Huddersfield & arrived 3 hours late, having been sworn at by the bus driver & made to turn the reading light off because it was distracting him! BUT...had it worked out it would have been a great bargain!
  • the prices are genuine, they do some train journeys too (can get a return from Nottingham to London for a tenner return often if you time it right)
  • Ive used them quiet a few times for the London - Cardiff route & never had any problems, always got a return ticket for less than Ј7.00. brilliant prices
  • Thanks OP
Just managed to book 4 tickets for 50p - thats 50p the lot not each
A hint for those booking - it seems to be bookings on Mon- Thurs that are coming up as Ј0.00 - Fri - Sun seem to be usual price.
  • nice hope theres some left tommorrow
  • dates for free from cardiff - bristol 9th jan, feb 1st. cardiff-london 10th jan. hths
  • Apparently they are giving away 10,000 FREE seats in their winter sale, Ad on front page shows this, happy travels to all who 'sail' on her !
  • I am also in the "get what you pay for camp"
i had the misfortune of using this lot a couple of months ago when i had no other choice
The only seats available were the ones at the back around the broken toilet. It wouldnt flush and the door wouldnt stay shut. Dont think any cleaner/bleach/disinfectant had ever, ever been near it. We went more or less the whole journey with tissue up our nose and breathing into our jumpers so that we didnt have to put up with it any more than we had to.
  • Journey has to start and finish in England/Wales - no Scottish seats available. Bit rubbish as this is a Scottish based company!
  • Bro in law travelled on one of these from Glasgow to Birmingham...... during the journey the bus started to sway and was swerving from side to side.
One of the occupants asked the driver to stop as she felt it was unsafe - the driver refused and kept driving. Eventually she called the police to get him to stop. They pulled up on the hard shoulder and another 'magic bus' eventually came along but told the occupants it was London only destination. The only choice my bil had was to get back on the swaying bus alone and continue to Bimingham!!!
Just a word of warning -cheap but comes at a price
  • There's a reason my friend and I nicknames this the 'minging bus'....*shudder*
Great deals if you can stomach the smell of it though!
