A question about : Loom to the Moon

Morning everyone

There is an incredible young boy called Skye who lives near me, who despite being very poorly decided he wanted to 'loom to the moon'. Due to his illness he can no longer make the chains himself so he is asking for help!

Read more about him here on his facebook page https://www.facebook.com/loomtothemoon/timeline
Or his blog https://www.blueskyethinking.org/loom-to-the-moon/

Please, please help him if you can, its a good way of keeping the children occupied now the weather isn't so good, and the excitement of all the parcels he is receiving must be giving him a boost at a very hard time for him and his family. I think they are now hoping for a world record!

They are asking for donations for research in to brain tumours, but this is completely voluntary, and he will be pleased to receive your loom chains whether you donate or not.

Hearing about his courage and determination has inspired me, he is only 5 and dealing with a terminal diagnosis, yet still having so much fun!

Please tell everyone you can about his challenge, it would be so nice for him to reach his goal!

Come on everybody, get your loom bamds out, lets put a huge smile on his face and get to the moon!

Best answers:

  • in the interests of money saving - can I suggest you check out Amazon or Ebay for loom bands? my local shops charge between Ј1 and Ј2 for a bag of 300 bands - yet on these sites they are as little as 98pence for 600 and no difference in quality!
I am supporting Skye - and so is my granddaughter. its great fun and helping a very brave child achieve something he has set his heart on, its rewarding too.
if you don't loom yourself perhaps your kids/grandkids do? perhaps buying a pack or three of loom bands could be your 'donation'?
  • Thanks meritaten, good idea about looking for the bands as cheaply as possible, the more the better!
