A question about : Looking to purchase appropriate travel insurance
I've just booked a holiday and am now trying to find a suitable travel insurance policy.
One area I'm unsure about is my consumer rights if there's another volcanic ash situation.
I've read that your airline is responsible for cancelled flights but surely we'll need cover for the cost of the hotel etc if we're not able to get there. So I'm looking at insurance policies that will cover volcanic ash. I've found one where you can add volcanic ash as an optional level of cover. This increases the premium from Ј13.06 to Ј33.46. This seems quite a steep increase so I'm wondering whether there are any other policies that already cover volcanic ash.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
